“The Company” means Edenside Carpets & Flooring Limited.

50% Deposit to be paid upon ordering.
100% Deposit for Custom made items.
When supplying “goods only” – full payment required on order – delivery charge not included.
With the exception of payment by Extended Credit, all outstanding balances are to be remitted prior to delivery, installation or collection.
Balance of order to be paid 3 working days prior to installation.
Payment of a deposit is deemed to be confirmation of your contract with The Company.
All goods and services remain the property of The Company until paid in full.
Estimates as to delivery/or installation dates are given in good faith but are only estimates and are not guaranteed times and should not be relied upon as such. Time is not of the essence of the contract and we will not accept liability for any losses unless we fail to delivery within a reasonable time. Delivery of goods will be deemed to have taken place when they are taken from our vehicle at your delivery address
If you are unable to take delivery we will store your goods for up to one month, free of charge though payment in full for the goods will be required. However, there is a storage charge fee thereafter.
Once an installation date has been arranged we would require a minimum 2 working days notice to re-arrange a date convenient to both parties.
Cancellation of an installation date after the minimum 2 working days notice will result in the installation charge being reapplied and payable before the rearranged installation date
The Company expects that all rooms are free from old floor coverings, white goods (i.e. washing machine, fridges, and cookers) also furniture prior to fitting.
The Company reserves the right not to proceed with fitting on the agreed date if rooms are not satisfactorily cleared.
Fitting appointments are made in good faith but the exact arrival and duration times cannot be guaranteed due to the nature and unpredictability of the work involved. We cannot accept liability for delayed arrival, but you can be assured that the fitters will complete your work even if it exceeds the expected time allocation
If by reason of the design of the Purchaser’s house or the size of the goods purchased, it shall be necessary either to remove doors or windows to gain access for goods (where possible), the Company may make reasonable charge for time and labour involved.
Doors/or plinths may need to be trimmed to allow clearance. This is not part of the fitting work unless this has been specifically agreed. Fitters may remove doors/plinths to facilitate fitting and have them ready for you or your appointed carpenter to carry out the trimming and re-hanging/installation.
Whilst every care will be taken by The Company, it cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to underfloor pipes and cables, nor for any subsequent damages resulting therefrom.
The Company may charge to remove old floor coverings or wastage from your premises. However, if you ring your local Council, they should be able to remove this on your behalf.
You are reminded that all orders placed with and accepted by us, form part of a legally binding contract. Once this agreement has been signed by yourself, and whilst we will always endeavor to act sympathetically to your requests the following guidelines must be adhered to:
- Goods, from stock or specially ordered for you cannot be cancelled or altered once you have entered into the contract.
- Where circumstances enable us to accept a cancellation we must levy a charge equivalent to 25% of the order value.

Whilst every effort will be made to match colours and finishes, all natural and synthetic colours and finishes can only be supplied on the understanding that there is always a possibility of variation. The samples provided to you are intended to give a general impression of the colour and pattern Colours vary from batch to batch and exact matching between separate pieces (especially 4m and 5m rolls) cannot be guaranteed.
All carpets are liable to delivery pressure marking to a lesser or greater degree. This cannot be entirely prevented and should disappear as the carpet settles this is not a manufacturing fault. Neither the Company nor their supplier can accept responsibility for this phenomenon.
All carpets are cut at 10cm intervals with a minimum order length of 1metre. All sizes are approximate and within a tolerance of plus or minus 1.25% in accordance with BS3655
Carpets and rugs are soft, luxurious products and flattening of the pile will occur as a natural result of use. Flattening will change the apparent colour of the carpet (“shading”), may be permanent (“pile reversal”), and this may appear to be random, but this is not a fault. Areas where foot traffic twists and turns are especially prone to such changes in appearance. The sides of the pile appear a slightly different shade in colour to the ends and so any change in angle or direction of the pile may change the apparent colour of the carpet and this may be patchy. Such changes do not alter the durability of the carpet.
We are responsible for ensuring that the goods we supply are of satisfactory quality, conform to the sample and are fit for the purpose for which they are sold. Certain products have additional guarantees provided by us or the manufacturer. Where they are provided by the manufacturer we accept no responsibility for these additional warranties or guarantees.
